Chapter fourteen.

i woke up by myself feeling very good, I'm trying my best to be a better person.
i grabbed my phone to see what time is it now, its 9:17 pm. is mooki going to take me out tonight?
i had that thought going in my mind while i went to the bathroom to do my business and to tooka hot shower. when i finished, i went directly to mooki's room. i went in without nocking the door. he was sitting on his bed with his MacBook Air.

me: mooki what are you doing?
mooki: nothing, wanna go out? I'm bored.
me: yeah sure i came here to ask you a9lan
mooki: 6ool 3omrk m9l7jya.
me: whatever. I'm going to change
mooki: don't take forever please
me: i'll finish in 15 mins promise.

i wore a white blouse with jeans and applied my makeup which is an eyeliner, mascara, blusher  and lipgloss.

i was on time,  wore my abaya and I'm ready to go. i grabbed my phones and went to mooki. the moment mooki saw me he looked at his iPhone and he saw that i was on time.

mooki: impressive!
me: wsh t7ssb?!
mooki: stop the najdi accent we both know that you can't speck it, yalla lets go!

we got in mooki's car,  and we drove off to a restaurant. we walked in and sat in a table for two.

mooki started talking:

noor, can you tell me how you started smoking? and why are the people who you call your friends are your friends?

me: mooki i dont wanna talk about it
mooki: do you have any close friends? not close umm real friends fhmti ga9di?
me: no, i don't.
mooki; why?
me: mooki, in my school you don't know how many girls are fake. all they think about are three things: to show off what they have, to go to parties, and the last thing is to have fun. ya3ni all they think about is esh m9l7ti wfen alageha. keef tebani alagi real friends?
mooki: shoofi noor I'm sure wa7da men banat f9lk kant teba tn97k ttgrb mennek bas enti manti mntbha, *the waiter cut him off by putting the appetisers* he continued: noor, abaki bokrah terj3i lel madrsa wenti nasya elli 9ar, abaki you make new friends, wmat3eedi elli swweeti ana a5ooki w aba m9l7tk, w eza tebeni angolk men L mdrsa ma3ndi man3.

when we finished eating, mooki payed and we went back home. it was 12:30 am. mooki went to his friends and i entered the house alone. i opened the door and saw mama sitting in the small saloon on the left, I tried to avoid her, but it didn't work,

me: mooki

me: whatever

i went to my room, opened the door and the light next. walking directly to my closet to change to my pjs then i went to bed. I'm not sleep but i should sleep because i have school tomorrow. my mind kept thinking about mooki's words... then i heard the notification voice.. i hate it when i forget to put my phones mute.

Chapter thirteen.

after two days the blood test result were out
noor and mooki took them and they headed to noors school

noor's POV;

i was just leaving the car when i heard mooki calling me
noor?
me: yes mooki?
mooki: you know that i love you, don't be afraid be proud of who you are, your friends are bad and fake and you don't deserve them. noor try to find a real friend that will stand by your side. and when you give the results to your principle smile a wide smile okay noor?
me: okaaay but why would i smile? after showing her the results i won't go to school anymore.
mooki: just do it
me: okay, i love you you are the best!
i got out of the car and walked till i reached the school gate
i said bsmellah and entered the school
i took a look maybe it will be the last time i will enter it
i thought the last time will be after the finals of my senior year. will guess thats life. i went straight to the principle office, i took a long breath and then knocked the door.
the principle: come in
i entered with the envelop in my hands and was obvious that i was afraid and close to tears
i gave her the envelop and smiled and said: L slam 3lykom miss
the principle while opening the envelope: w3lykom L slam
she let out a half of the paper and said: noor i never ever thought that you will be in this situation, and i'm sorry to tell you that if the results were bad you will no longer be a student in my school. lamia was here before 1 hour and i should tell you her results were pretty bad! it clearly show that she was not just a heavy smoker but also a weed smoker! and her mom was very mad. now negol bsmellah wnshouf your result.
i couldn't control my tears and i cried silently.

she looked at the papers and her face was shocked.

noor? she said
me: yes?








the principle:noor i have to say.. i'm proud of you! you're not even a smoker, was it your first time?
me:*what the hell* haa?
the principle: thank god that your results are clear! i didn't want to lose such a student!
me: what?
the principle: hahahah noor 7trj3i tdawmi men bokrah, you go and celebrate this!
noor was still shocked

noor: ok-kay bye

i went out the school and saw mookis car i ran to him
i entered his car and screamed: BUT HOOWWW?!!
mooki laughed at me
then it hit me: YOUUU?!!
mooki nodded
me: HOWWW?!!!
mooki: when i left you alone with the nurse, i talked to rashed my friend and also a doctor to switch the result my result with yours, and since i dont smoke they were clear.
me: oh my god mooki thank you YOU ARE THE BEST BROTHER 7GEGY I LOVE YOU!
mooki: you are welcome sis, i did that to let you know that you are not alone, i will always stay by your side okay? and you really should quit smoking, okay?
me: of course but it's not easy mooki it takes time..
mooki: i know
and then we arrived
i entered home and mooki was parking the car,

and i continued walking to the elevator

i then opened the elevator door and went up

i entered my room and went straight to bed
just when i got comfortable on it i heard a knock on the door

noor: i don't wanna do the blood test, i can't do the blood test!
mooki: why *with a strange look*
noor: because...
mooki: yes?
noor: i can't tell you
mooki: you can tell me anything
noor: not this

noor: mooki i just can't do the blood test, trust me it won't turn out good.
mooki: why? *what does she mean?*
noor: *i can't tell him, he will be super mad at me*

noor: *starts crying*

noor: *trys to calm her self* i wasn't smoking a regular cigarette.

noor: i was smoking weed. and it wasn't my first time.

noor: *crys more and lose control*
mooki: ARE YOU SERIOUS NOOR?! WEED?!!!

and mooki left the balcony,

noor kept crying tell she slept in the same place.

linda was searching for noor, she saw her in the balcony.
she tried to wake her up and walk her to her bed.
linda's heart was ached about noor's situation.
she called mooki.

on the phone:

linda: abdulmalik!
mooki: yes linda.
linda: come here and lets talk about noor
mooki: you know nothing
linda: i know everything so come here and let's talk about.
mooki: i'm at my friend's place now, we will talk when i get back.
linda: okay bye

i was very mad and shocked about noor smoking weed
i went to yousef.
i will tell him about noor smoking in the school, but not the weed.
or should i tell him?
it will be based on his reaction.

i was speeding, i was driving very fast.
when i reached yousef's place, i called yousef.

i went out of his house, to my car.

i arrived my house, and called linda to come to my room.

linda knocked the door, and i told her to enter

linda: what did you talk about earlier with noor?
me: why?
linda: tell me!
me: you know about her smoking weed?
linda: yes i know
me: and you let her!
linda: yes, she want it to let all the anger and all the insecurity she felt inside. did you noticed the sadness in her eyes?  she let all the sadness and hate on the smoking. and her friends were bad, actually did you know that she hated them all, she hated everybody. everybody knew noor, everyone knows that noor hates everyone but they still  befriended her, because what they cared about is just the outside. just the name. i was with her, i kept my eyes on her, what she did was wrong, but you just can't blame it all in her! did you know that she quit it, and started to smoke cigarette instead of weed, but in school i think lamia told her to smoke with her and she couldn't say no so she went, i listened to her talking to lamia! you are her brother abdulamlik! don't be like them all stay by her side!
me: ...
linda: i will leave you now, and just to let you know... she cried tell she slept in her place, just like the way you left her! don't do this to her!

THE BLOOD TEST DAY

ughh today is the day.
im screwed.

i dressed wore my abaya and went down to find my mon and dad sitting in the living room, what a happy family.
'you're going with abulmalik alone' my father said without looking at me and continued: ' ma tashrf aro7 m3 bent zyyk, glelt adb w3demt e7teram'

i went out without answering him.
mooki was ignoring me, allah ystr.
i entered mooki's car.
'hiii' i said
mooki replied with a simple hi.

the car ride was quiet.
we arrived the hospital.

Abdulmalik talked to a doctor that I assumed he knew.

They lead us to a room, a cold white room.

I felt cold and depressed, I started crying silently. 

They let me set on the chair.

And then a nure came with a needle.

Just when I wanted to mooki to be beside me, he left the room. I screamed don't go but he went.

MOOKI POV;

I wanted to be next to her.

But I have to talk with the doctor.

The doctor is my friend and I have known him since grade 5.

I went to him.

NOOR'S POV:

I woke up the next morning finding mooki sleeping besides me.
what did i do to him? he will definitely hates me if he knew that i was smoking weed.
he is the only one who stayed beside me yesterday, i love him.

i got up, did my business took a long hot shower then i called lamia to see what will happen.

abdulmalik had to leave so he wanted to leave but noor grabbed his arm

she turned off the lights and started to think deeply" should i tell abdulamlik about the weed? what will happen? it's better to tell him than to know about it from someone else,right? and the blood test, will i do it? i cant, i wont enter the school if i did it"

the lights were off so noor didnt really recognized the features

noor started crying very hardly
she locked the door
closed the rest of the lights
and started crying crying and crying on the floor

after 10 minutes

abdulmalik POV:

i just got back from my friend's house
and i went directly to noor's room
and it was clearly that the lights were off, weird.

i tried to open the door and it was locked!
i knocked the door once twice, noor isn't responding
i started to panic so i called her..
she is not answering
so i started to scream her name

i was so tired of screamin so i got the spare key from linda, thank god that she has one!
i mean no has the spare key for her room except her!

i opened the door, it was like a cave you cant see anything from the darkness i used my phone to find the lights, then i tripped when i was on my way to them, when i looked down..

i found her.
i found noor laying on the floor tired as hell, unconscious!
i opened the lights quickly and carried her her body was cold, her face was yellow and there is a black circles around her eyes. i went to the bathroom to wash her face,
and sprayed some perfume.

finally she's half awake now!

me: noor nooor!
noor: hmm
me: what hapenned?
noor: umm madri
me calling linda

on the phone: linda linda
linda: yes?
me: please make an orange juice for noor
linda: okay
me: fast please!
end the call

linda came with the orange juice
noor drank it

noor: no
me: 6ab n5rj lel balcony?
noor: 3adi
me: yalla 6ayyeb

we went to the balcony

noor: mooki

noor: i don't wanna do the blood test, i can't do the blood test!

lamia took it and throw it in the bathroom cabinet and flushed it.

the principle: the girls inside the bathroom, get out right NOW!

lamia to noor:*whispering* DONT!
noor nodded.

the principle: dont you hear me, i can stay all day and night waiting for you to get out!

noor:you realize we are in a serious trouble?
lamia nodded.

the principle: come on!
and spent the next ten minutes in a complete silence.

lamia: lets go out..
noor: no!
lamia: she must be gone, i hear no sound.
noor: 5ayfa.
lamia: hey maswena shy '3l6 6ayyeb?
noor: are you serious?
lamia: no bas come on!


lamia opened the door slowly.





'SURPRISE' ; the principle said.
and completed: so we have lamia L X and? *she went to the bathroom because noor didnt come out yet* NOOR?!

the principle: to my office. both of you. now.

the principle: okay, so i saw smoke..
noor is it one of your games again?
noor:...
the principle: you know noor, i knew that it wasnt true what you said but i trusted you.
noor:...
the principle: i will call both of your parents.
lamia: nooooooo MISS PLEASE DONT
the principle: yes i will, and you will go and have blood tests, and you wont enter the school without them.
both of them: WHAT?!!
the principle: you heard me.
noor: miss why? okay call our parents but there is no need for the blood tests.
the principle: yes there is.
lamia: no miss there is no need.
the principle: you dont want to enter the school?
noor: b but..
the pinciple: no buts.

after 30 minutes:
 both the mothers came.
with a worried and shocked faces.
they entered and the girls went out.

five minutes later
we can hear screaming

ten minutes later
both moms went out.

noors mother: noor to the car NOW! *with an extremely angry face*
noor: okay.

lamia mother: what did you do lamia? WHAT DID YOU DO?! ARE YOU SERIOUS!! ANA RBETK KDA? GO TO THE CAR NOOWW!!!!

at home:

the father was there with mooki, and noor and her mother entered.
the father saw noors mather face:eshbk? tra may7taj kl di L 39bya!

the father: went silent.
mooki with a shocked face: mt2kda ya mama?
the mather: EWA 6B3N MT2KDA LA W MATD5L L MDRSA '3ER BT7LEL DM! ANA MA3RFT ARBEKI BAS 7RBEKI MEN AWWL WJDEED
the father: in complete silent, he stood up walked, and stood in front of noor.

a hot slapped was placed on noors cheeks.

and he went out.

noor went to her room, locked the door.

and cried her eyes out.

just when she decided to quit smoking weed, this happens.

ABUDLMALIKS POV:

noor really did this?
this isnt noor. noor smoked? noor smoking nono.
why noor?
WHY?!

i went to her room and wanted to smash the door.
knocking the door like a crazy man: NOOR AFT7I L BAB D7EEN!!

noor opened the door.

WHAT DID YOU DO?
NOOR ARE YOU SERIOUS?
NOOR WHY DID YOU DO THIS?

WHY NOOR? 

SINCE WHEN YOU ARE LIKE THIS?

Right then mookI looked at noor and she was crying terribly. 

Mooki couldn't see his sister like this.

He hugged her.

He knew she needed that hug. 

And she was crying on his ches.

He took her to her bed and they both layed on her bed and she started crying harder. 

I've never saw noor cry this much. 

I'm so disappointed but the speech has to wait. I'm not gonna talk to baba about it right now. My heart is breaking into pieces. 

Mooki: noor 7bebti stop 5la9 Ya mama 79l 5eer.

Mooki: noor 5la9 I'm here don't worry everything is going to be okay I'm here. 

After an hour staying in that position. 

I look at noor and saw her asleep with a tear on her right cheek. My baby is tired and I can't see her this way. It's heartbreaking. She's my sister my bestfriend my buddy. 

Should I tell yousif about it? 

I should tell him but not now. 

Now we won't do anything. 

I should talk to Baba about what happened earlier..the slap was too much. We don't really know if our parent really care about us. They care at times and other times  they don't. Noor's relationship with our parent is not really strong  , especially that noor feels out of space with them, that's because they don't show their care that much.. and when we are together, all they talk about is traveling and silly things, we don't really talk about deep things and what all the families talk about. That's why I am very close to noor. I wanted to be the one she depends on and all of that. Noor why did you do this noor I'm very disappointed. I ended up sleeping next to noor that night.

Chapter nine.

i found it so weird what this abdullah guy did, but i actually listened to him and right now im on my way home.
i entered my room and changed to my pjs, i lighted up a cigarette, yes a cigarette since im trying to stop smoking weed. and right then i started to think deeply of what mooki told me that about yousif. should i go for it? or not.. the feeling i had for him is weird its not like hes a stranger but i cant just imagine him as a husband.. my husband.
 and what if that abdullah dude told on me not to my brother to yousif? i know he wont tell my brother but he can tell his friend right? ugh what do i even care if he told him or not. who am i kidding i care about yosif, i know that i have feekings for yosif but i don't know what those feelings are.
i got tired, sprayed some air freshener, brushed my teeth and went to bed.

next afternoon,
i woke up around 2 pm. did my business and took a shower , then i went down the stairs and found mooki in the living room.
i went to him saying: hla b abdulmalik; and giving him a good morning hug.
mooki: weird !
me: what?
mooki: you !
me: me?
mooki: yes, tegoleli abdulmalik, giving me a hug?

mooki: and why is that? you know you are their daughter, and if you believed the lies i usually tell you when we were younger that you are not my sister and we found you near the mosque tra its not true wallah! *saying the last part with a slight laugh*
me: of course i didnt believe you and i wont forgive you for what you had done, do you know you kept me crying all night *giving him a death stare*
mooki: hahhaaha you did you deserve it!
me: no!
mooki: yes!

*silence*

mooki: noor..
me: haa?
mooki: did you think about what yosif told me?
me: yes..
mooki: and?
me: mooki i dont know.. i do have feelings but i dont know what are they! sometimes its a yes.. but then i rethink about it and here its a no!
mooki: why?
me: i dont know give me some time i rethink and i will give you the answer
mooki: okay 7bebty
me: umm mooki t3rf wa7d esmo 3bdallah al X
mooki: ewa leesh?

me: la bas ...

Sunday;
in the school;

hayat: heeeey
me: ahlan!
i just took a seat and focused on my math lesson.
in the break;
lamia: noor..
me: ummm
lamia: come with me

i went with her to the bathroom;
she entered in one and she called me to go in with her. i went.
she had her hands on her right uniform pocket, she got whats in their, and of course, what will be in there instead of weed?
me: are you seriously bringing the weed here?
lamia: chill and just smoke it.
me; i dont want to lamia
lamia: hey are you seriously quitting it?
me: yes!
lamia: okay just this time i dont want to be alone smoking its awkward
me: i huffed and took it from her, i just smoked half it and i gave her the rest.
but right then..
in that moment..
when i gave her..
when she just touched it..
we both heard a sound, not only a sound.. our principle voice.
and now we both know that we are in a very, very big and serious problem.

Chapter eight.

so today is the day of the party;

noor;

 i woke up late that day, i wasn't excited about the party but i already agreed with hayat to come over and get ready.

i got out of my bed, did what every person does in the bathroom then i called hayat..

calling hayat:

hayat: aloo

me: ahlan meta jayya?

hayat: yalla showya give me five mins

me: kwyys yalla bye

umm what to do? going down the stairs, LINDAAA?

linda came: what sweetheart?

me: linda i want breakfast :( im so hungry!

linda: what do you want to eat?

me: anything please!

linda: okay..

mooki entered the house:

me: ya hla b mooki!

mooki: ahlan!

me: soooo! what was the thing?

mooki: what thing?

me: the thing you wanted to tell me when we went to buy the dress..

mooki: oh that..

me: yeah that.. tell me!!

mooki: lsn noor..

me: oh no.. esh fe?

mooki: chill... mafe shy, but... 

me: but?..

mooki: mmkn tskoti 3shan ajm3 afkari?

me: ouch but okay!

mooki: gbl kam you,.. yousef called me out of nowhere (in mind: esh d5l yousef?) he told me that he wanted to talk with me.. i was worried so i went as fast as i can to him.. his face was serious..(6ayyeb?)..he told me that he is somehow likes you, he didnt want it to do it behind my back (WHAT?!)

me: mooki he doesnt know me he only knows my name and how do i look like..

mooki: i know but sometimes your heart yshddk le sh59 and you start to have feelings..

me: okay and?

mooki: i know its wrong, but if you have these feelings too tell me and me and him will have another talk and see what will happen so?

me: ummm mooki i ...

Linda: nooor nono your breakfast is ready(thank you!!!!!)

me: IM COMING, i will think about it mooki okay?

going to linda:

me: linda thank you!!!

starting to eat the breakfast

her phone interrupted.. answering without seeing whos calling!

me: yess?

..: nooor ana greeb shwya w i call you t5le a7d yft7 L bab..

me: okay hayat bye!

back to eating!

after 10 mins.. 

hayat came and they went to noor's room!

hayat: i didnt wear my dress..

noor: yeah better

so should i call jenny to come and do our hairs?

hayat: yes !

*called her and did their hair*

now the makeup!

 

and they were off to the party..

at the party;

the house was so big and beautiful mashallah! 

they entered the house, but there was something wrong

the party wasnt just a mix party, it has alcohol drinks.

noor her jaw dropped

she decided to go with it and ignore all the guys and everything hayat was helping her

they had some weed, noor was thinking of quitting it, but she still didnt.

so they smoked it 

atheer came;

noor: atheer what is this?

atheer: im sorry bas knt abaki tji i miss you

noor gave her a death stare: dont do it again, i miss you 2

at the dance floor:

a guy was getting close to noor,

the guy: excuse me?

noor ignoring

the guy: hey excuse me?

noor: what?

the guy: are you abdulmalik alX's sister?

noor: why?

the guy: come with me..

noor: without thinking i went with him!

the guy: im his friend, why are you here? this is not the right place for you? lw abdulmalik 3rf he'll kill you!

noor: he wont know and you wont tell hin!

the guy: what makes you so sure?

noor: you dont wanna mess a very tight relationship between your friend and his sister!

the guy: but its the right thing to do!

noor: no!

the guy: go away from here its not the right thing to do, do it for abdulmalik! he is so proud of you! he loves you so much you cant let him down!

noor: ...

the guy: yalla ..

noor: how did you know im his sister?

the guy: L shbh benkm, beside shklk makan '3reb fa s2lt 3nk w3rft that youre his sister!

noor: okay i will go but dont tell him

the guy: and the weed thin its not good for you too, quit this life, think of your brother!

noor: okay  im tring! yalla im going

the guy: wait!

noor: what?

the guy: im abdullah alX btw!

noor: thank you abdullah (with a soft smile!)
